This unique trek takes us into an arid region beyond the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The route entails traveling across desert like landscape, barren ridges, deep canyons, eroded cliffs and moraine valleys. It is a land of barley field and pasture where sheep are seen grazing and ponies are used to carry loads. The views of windswept Kali Gandaki Valley, vast spaces around Kagbeni, sprawling ridges and high mountains provide a mind blowing experience for the brave adventurer.
Nowhere in the world is more spectacular than in the Everest region. It is where four of the world's six tallest peaks Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Followers of both Hinduism and Buddhism regard Muktinath as a highly important pilgrimage site in Nepal. Nestled in the Northern Himalaya the trekking trail passes through the Annapurna Conservation area up to Jomsom, the admistrative center of Mustang district if we start the trek from Birethanti. Otherwise we can take early morning flight to Jomsom and begin trek along kali Gandaki gorge.
This is probably one of the world's most beautiful trek. It will take you through a wonderful variety of landscapes and culture, from the subtropical lower Marsyangdi Valley where Gurung and Thakali people dominate to the northern arid Buddhist areas.
